My psychotherapy practice is part time with appointments available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Psychotherapy visits are available through secure, encrypted video-conferencing. In person appointments are not offered at this time. Clients can access video appointments through a desktop or laptop computer, tablet, or smart phone with good internet connection.

“Get Acquainted” Phone Visit - 15 Minutes
A 15 minute “Get Acquainted” phone visit is recommended at no charge for the following reasons:
Psychotherapy is an investment of time and resources so it’s wise to meet each other before we begin working together. Is my interpersonal style and psychotherapy approach a good fit for you?
Tele-psychology visits using video-conferencing may not be the most effective or safest method for some problems, such as self-harm or suicide behaviors. Would in-person visits be a better option for your mental health concerns?
Tele-psychology requires access to a computer, tablet or smart phone with video-conferencing capability and knowing how to use it. Do you have basic knowledge and skills for using your computer, tablet or smart phone?
You can review my practice policies and consent forms on my website ahead of time and be prepared to ask any questions. What questions or concerns do you have about my practice polices?
If we decide to work together, we will schedule an Initial Assessment Visit and you will have access to the Client Portal on this website.
Initial Mental Health Assessment Visit- 60 Minutes
We start our work together by having an initial mental health assessment We will use the Initial Assessment time to review my telepsychology and practice policies and consent forms. I want to understand your reasons for seeking psychotherapy, and assess with you the nature of your mental health concerns. Over the first 1-3 visits, I will gather relevant information about you, assess any mental health symptoms , and develop a treatment plan collaboratively with you. I am required to determine a mental health diagnosis for the purpose of insurance coverage.
Return Individual Psychotherapy Visit- 45 to 60 minutes
Return clients may schedule individual couples or family therapy follow up visits through my Client Portal. We will determine the frequency of visits needed to be effective to address your mental health concerns. I will provide an estimate for the number of visits or the length of psychotherapy, if known, to be effective for your mental health concerns. You are free to end our sessions at any time for any reason with or without discussing this with me.

Health Insurance and Fees
Kaiser Permanente Colorado: I am a credentialed provider with Kaiser Permanente Colorado. If you have Kaiser Permanente healthcare benefits, an initial assessment visit can be scheduled directly through me or through Westside Behavioral Care. WestSide Behavioral Care staff will verify your benefits and copay/coinsurance if applicable. A credit card agreement must be on file with me for payment of any copayments/coinsurance, late cancellation and no show fees, if applicable.
Other Health Insurance: I am currently working on credentialing with additional health insurance companies. I can provide a professional statement of services with diagnosis, procedure codes, and dates of service if your plan allows reimbursement to you for out of network services.
Cash Fee-for-Service Clients: I accept clients who pay cash out of pocket for psychotherapy services. I will provide a statement of professional services with diagnosis, procedure codes, and dates of service. You may be able to use a health care spending account to pay for psychotherapy visits. Check with your administrator. A credit card agreement must be on file with me for payment of any late cancellation and no show fees, if applicable.
Cancelled Appointments: Appointments must be cancelled at least 48 hours in advance of the scheduled appointment through my Client Portal. A late cancellation fee of $50 will be charged to the credit card on file.
No Show for Appointments: My private practice is small and personalized with fixed operating expenses even when clients do not keep an appointment. A no-show fee of $50 will be charged to the credit card on file.
